FCE Elpela Training Centre, Zambia

2 dormitories with ablution
Zambia – April 2025

Elpela Camp is an initiative of FCE Zambia, a mission organisation, which has been involved in Zambia since 1996 with a focus of community transformation. We are partnering together to train and equip others in Zambia, and beyond. We are also working hand in hand with our FCE school in the same local community.

Elpela is situated in the central part of Zambia overlooking the incredible Kafulafuta Dam. The location is ideal for both working together with the local community in rural Africa, as well as inviting the rest of the world to come and be part of serving Zambia.

We use hospitality, adventure, creativity and sport as tools to accomplish the vision. Using these strategies, we focus on leadership development and training, through various camps , outreaches, events, team building, and courses.

The environment in this area is our platform, running most of our programs in beautiful nature. We want to protect and build up the environment in this area, so that it can be part of all the programs we facilitate. We will be part of establishing wildlife again in this area, giving the opportunity for others to use this facility for nature conservation programs and exposure.

The Beit Grant made a huge impact, getting us to a more functional phase to establish dorms, an ablution area, solar power and clean drinking water. This really helped us with a BIG step forward to officially open the camp this year.

We will host a team of 15 young people (South Africans) from 28 June – 9 July 2025 in the new facilities built. They will be part of serving the vision and this community during their stay. Later this year (September) we will have a missionary training team (cross cultural) for 1 month at the camp.

Once again, thank you so much for your support, getting us on our feet to run.
