Zimbabwe, April 2022
A vocational school for intellectually vulnerable children and adults, as well as young adults with learning difficulties. The Beit Trust provided a grant for £34,800 for the conversion of existing buildings for use as a City and Guilds classroom. They were already in productive use, with lessons, under qualified instructors, on electricity and circuitry, catering, car maintenance and other useful skills.
The centre was officially opened by Sir Andrew Pocock, the CEO of the Beit Trust. Silver Lining’s CEO, Bill Annandale, said: “We are greatly indebted to the Beit Trust, who have been a major contributor to the Centre as we see it today. We recognise the fundamentally crucial role the Beit Trust has played in making this possible”.
